IAGR President, Trude Felde, Senior Advisor at the Norwegian Gaming and Foundation Authority says: ‘Each year we take our Conference to a different continent. Last year Europe was our destination with the Conference taking place in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The year before we were in South Africa. I am delighted that that the Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC) and Casino Gaming Commission of Jamaica have offered to host the 2019 Conference. I hope this location will enable members from the Caribbean and Americas who may have been unable to travel to Europe and further afield, to join us.
‘IAGR’s Annual Conference has a growing reputation for providing an international forum in which colleagues with regulatory interests in gaming and gambling come together to share issues and best practice. The Conference planning team is already hard at work, and I am sure that the 2019 Conference will prove to be as successful as previous events.’
Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean. Located just 550 miles south of Florida, it is at the very heart of the Caribbean and strategically located at the gateway of major air and sea routes into the region. It is famous for its white sand beaches, stunning views and lush, tropical foliage and offers a myriad of attractions – like the awe-inspiring Dunn’s River Falls, which is a world heritage site, the Blue Mountains, Green Grotto Caves and the renowned Rose Hall Great House.
