Muffin the Mule first arrived on our TV screens 60 years ago and is still held in great affection by young and old alike. Muffin’s popularity is such that he has his own ‘Muffinabelia’ collectors club and his animated reincarnation has enjoyed a revival on CBeebies.
Visitors to EAG and VAE 2017 will have a one-off opportunity to acquire a fully-restored original 1950’s Muffin the Mule kiddie ride. Some years ago the ride was restored by Northern Leisure Group/Kiddy Rides for a private client who has subsequently returned Muffin on the understanding that he is used to raise funds for a good cause.
After a little cosmetic updating, Muffin will appear on the bacta stand at EAG, with all visitors to the show invited to submit a bid via silent auction. The highest bidder will acquire an iconic piece of amusement machine history, with the proceeds being donated to Rays of Sunshine, bacta’s nominated charity.
