TouchTunes is enhancing the outstanding cashbox credentials of its world class digital jukeboxes by ensuring consumers have access to the most popular international music trends following a collaborative new partnership between its UK and US music teams. The two teams working out of Camden, London and Park Avenue, New York respectively draw on a combination of expert music insight and empirical play data to deliver bespoke profiles which are designed to stimulate customer engagement and in the process increase cashbox income.
Commenting on the positive partnership and the adaptability of the new profiles, James Luck, Commercial Director Soundnet/TouchTunes, explained: “Our teams, based in the UK and the US have weekly meetings to discuss impending changes or updates using the data trends from our own play/search analysis as well as dominant themes identified across mainstream and social media channels. Thanks to the exclusive deal TouchTunes has with the Official Chart Company, the music within each ‘profile’ is always contemporary and relevant, however with the huge one million song database every user still has a wealth of classic hits, ’non highlighted ’ artists and song titles to choose from.”
New York-based Rob Schustack, General Manager, Music Services-Octave Group, said: “In an effort to always deliver the best possible experience to our listeners, the TouchTunes Music Team has harnessed the power of data to program jukebox homescreens and assign music profiles. By looking at the different genres being played on the jukebox, we are able to identify the top styles of music at each venue and assign the appropriate profile featuring a relevant selection of readily available playlists.
“An entirely new assortment of themed, chart based and genre-focused playlists are now discoverable through targeted features on jukebox homescreens as well as via the Playlist menu. Traditional artist and album homepage features as well as the existing suite of playlists are also still available and have been updated to feature new, eye-catching cover art.”
Soundnet/TouchTunes also offers a custom-made range of playlists uniquely developed for each profile which are designed to reflect individual calendar dates or changing music trends such as this year’s Rugby World Cup or the release of Liam Gallagher’s latest album. The company also recently launched four new profiles for the Autumn period to reflect genres and styles, including Rock, Classics, Dance with Pop & Rock, Urban with Pop & Rock, Northern Ireland, and Rock & Country.
James Luck concluded: “Despite the fact that the Angelina cashbox is close to 40 percent above the UK national average, we are constantly examining ways in which we can build on that in order to cement our position at the top of the income charts and to support our customers in every way that we can.”
