Merkur Gaming presented the latest trends and innovations for the international gaming industry during the specialised gaming exhibition ICE that took place at the London Exhibition Centre (ExCeL) between 3rd and 5th February. The German entertainment experts provided visitors with a promising mix of innovative cabinets, tailormade games packages and service offers over a floor space that covered approximately 650 m².
Merkur Gaming is a subsidiary of the family-managed Gauselmann Group and has profited for decades from the company’s ever-expanding wealth of experience in the realms of research, development, production and sales. Its flair for the international gaming market was once again asserted with the strengthening of the company management in the appointment of Jens Halle. The industry expert joined Merkur Gaming as CEO in January. “We clearly demonstrated at the ICE the development potential that Merkur Gaming has and what the Gauselmann Group as a whole has to offer. The show was a promising start for further collaboration. We were able to bring back numerous impressions, positive feedback and input from our customers and business partners from
London. Now is the time to implement these”, stated Jens Halle.
The exhibition team received great feedback in particular for the distinctive quality awareness and the country-specific multi-gamer solutions. Merkur Gaming presented a total of eleven separate types of cabinet in London – a product choice like there has never been before. The latest generation of the Full-HD machines was a true show highlight. Whether the classic Evolution SL, the futuristic Avantgarde SLT or the gaming globe Ozone – Merkur Gaming focuses on brilliant optics. The new flagship multi-gamers stand out thanks to Full-HD technology with an excellent depth of sharpness. These promise a more intense still entertainment experience in combination with the specially designed HD games. The innovative globe Ozone received particular attention from the international trade professionals that revealed the first indications of the ‘made by Merkur’ gaming future. The Ozone name stands for completely undisturbed gaming pleasure. Players can play alone or together with another person inside the globe and completely concentrate of the gaming experience. A rich 2.1 stereo sound and high resolution graphics make the
gaming experience in the globe perfect.
The international breakthrough for the German leaders in innovation was achieved at the very latest on the international scene with the Highflyer. The successful product from Merkur Gaming once again stood out at the ICE 2015 with its appealing design. The floating upper monitor enables not only a comfortable sitting position but also a relaxed view of the surroundings. The player can choose between two sitting positions and so can either focus on the lower screen or lean back and relax looking at the upper screen. The massive Merkur Gaming ICE product range was furthermore completed by the cabinets Evolution, Privilege Plus, WB 4, Vision Plus and Uno as well as the Motion and Motion 2 cabinets for the Italian market.
Yet it was not just the multifaceted cabinet choice that made it clear how much Merkur Gaming deals with tailor-made gaming solutions for the differing markets. The games portfolio with about 20 new HD games that were presented at ICE also underlined this claim. “The core of the company philosophy at Merkur Gaming is to individually satisfy the corresponding target markets”, explains Jens Halle. “That means being aware of both cultural specifics as well as local player mentalities and then to bring this knowledge into the development process. The feedback from the visitors at ICE has shown that we have been extremely successful here with the current Merkur Gaming portfolio. The company also demonstrated its development strength in the field of cash management. The successful product in the Merkur cash management portfolio is called the Merkur Dispenser 100 and has stood for years like no other tool for simple and secure cash handling. The latest further development is the Merkur Dispenser 100 Gold that can process up to 34 separate bills of three different denominations each. Further light barriers for more security belong to the optimisations as well as a new more efficient CPU and greater memory capacity.
