Sink the Ship wins best game award at Dublin show

Sink the Ship, the thrilling new redemption game from Bandai Namco was awarded the best game prize at the Dublin show last week. In this game, players use a joystick to control a helicopter, which drops balls onto the ships in the playfield. A simple press of a button will lower the helicopter down so that it can scoop up the balls in its claws, players then use the joystick to manoeuvre the helicopter over the playfield and pressing the button again will open the claw and drop the balls.

The playfield has different ships that require a specific number of balls to sink them. If the balls dropped from the helicopter occupy that ship then it has been sunk and the associated number of tickets will be awarded. Special bonuses are offered depending on the number of ships sunk.

John Crompton, who collected the prize commented, “The team are thrilled to have been awarded this trophy for Sink the Ship at the Dublin Show. It is a great game, which also received a fantastic reception at EAG. Dublin was a very successful show for us and it was great to see all of our Irish customers.”
