Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) (“Scientific Games” or the “Company”) today announced that it will promote Michael Quartieri to Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary, succeeding Scott Schweinfurth. Quartieri will be based in Scientific Games’ Las Vegas, Nevada global headquarters. Quartieri’s promotion will be effective after the Company files its 2015 Form 10-K.
Quartieri joined Scientific Games last month as Vice President and Corporate Controller. He recently served nine years with Las Vegas Sands Corp., ending his tenure as Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Global Controller. Previously, he had a 13-year tenure at Deloitte & Touche LLP, rising to the position of Director of Audit and Assurance Services, in which he specialized in gaming and hospitality clients. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from the University of Southern California and is a Certified Public Accountant.
An established leader with extensive experience in closely managing and optimizing finance functions for a large, global publicly traded corporation, Quartieri will assume accountability and responsibility for Scientific Games’ finance function, including accounting, financial planning and reporting, internal controls, investor relations, treasury, tax, and financial operations.
