Easter Island pulls-off London Heist

Dutch slots supplier Easter Island Studios is hoping to stay one step ahead of the law with a new game based on the infamous Hatton Garden raid. The London Heist, a five reel game with 30 win lines, is released a year after the perpetrators almost got away with looting £14m worth of valuables in Britain’s biggest burglary.

But unlike the pensioners involved in the real-life events, its creators are hoping crime will pay for casino operators signing up for the game at this week’s ICE Totally Gaming exhibition. Peter-Paul Feenstra, Studio Manager at Easter Island, said: “We’ve taken a few liberties with the facts whilst capturing the elements which made it a captivating story around the world.

“The pensioners involved in the raid may have been a little long in the tooth, but the game is built in HTML5 and contains the most up-to-date graphics and features which will immerse players in a game that is so engaging it’s a crime!” The London Heist follows the have-a-go anti-heroes down the lift-shaft and through the wall of the safety deposit company in search of other people’s valuables. Along the way players unlock generous bonuses and uncover mini-games, before trying to make their getaway with a life-changing amount of loot.

The London Heist joins five other new games with original themes and graphics in the portfolio of Easter Island, who were formed in 2015. The company’s mobile-friendly titles all begin with an ‘island twist’ featuring a fully-immersive 3D cinematic intro, which they hope will prove attractive to both operators and players alike. Easter Island, who are currently awaiting their UK and Alderney supplier licenses, will be exhibiting their suite of games on stand N2-310 at ICE Totally Gaming this week.
