The Directors of E-Service have confirmed the official opening of its new sales and service centre in Castleford, West Yorkshire as well as the appointment of highly experienced and well-respected industry figure Nick Walton to the post of Commercial Director. Walton joins Mike Clokie and Nick and Colin Veitch as a shareholder in the business.

E-Service was formed by Clokie and the Veitch brothers in 2004 as a dedicated service business designed to deliver essential spare parts, component repairs and field engineer support to UK gaming operators. The company has grown significantly since formation, acquiring an international reputation for professional and cost-effective after-sales services. Active across all major gaming and leisure sectors , E-Service now provides field service, training and contracted maintenance in the UK for major product brands including Shufflemaster, Thomas Automatics, CountR GmbH, JCM Ticket2Go and many others.

Commenting on the two key developments, Mike Clokie said: “The opening of a northern hub for E-Service has been part of the company’s expansion plans for some time. The timing is appropriate, as the company anticipates a significant increase in demand for its range of products and services as the UK moves to adopt Ticket In, Ticket Out (TITO) as its preferred pay-out solution in gaming operations and prepares for the challenges posed by the release of the new Polymer banknotes and in 2017, the new 12-sided £1 coin.

“The fact that we now have a sales and service centre in the north of England has been welcomed by our customer base. The new additional facility means that we can be more responsive to the needs of all of our customers and reduce further the turn around times for spares and components.”

He added: “The appointment of Nick Walton to the position of Commercial Director is an important part of our development strategy. Not only is he highly respected in the business but he also understands the unique characteristics of all aspects of operating and has a strong, practical engineering background. He already has a good working knowledge of the company and I am certain that he will prove to be a major asset as we move forward with what is already a successful business.”

Looking ahead to his new challenge Nick Walton said: “I am delighted to be joining such a respected company at such an exciting time in its development. Using the highly successful and established E-Service business model, the new Castleford offices will provide a local stock of essential spares, offer bench service and hardware repairs, plus act as the regional centre for our extensive field service contracts across the amusement, gaming and casino sectors. It’s a great opportunity to join an organisation that I know well and respect highly.

“I look forward to welcoming the industry and explaining in more detail the plans for the business at our official ‘Open Day’ on Friday 18th March at the new offices, which are located at Unit B3, Whitwood Enterprise Park, Speedwell Road, Castleford, WF10 5PX, which is just a few minutes from the M62 at Junction 31.”
