At the beginning of January, multi-platform developer Blueprint Gaming took over British game design studio Games Warehouse. In buying into Games Warehouse, Blueprint Gaming and its internationally operating parent, Gauselmann Group, are investing in the expansion of their business activities in the UK as well as in the development capabilities of the group as a whole. The Gauselmann Group attaches particularly high importance to research and development. Worldwide, the group has 16 game design teams dedicated to creating new games content.
Blueprint Gaming is a leading multi-platform provider for digital games and develops content for high-street markets as well as the online and mobile segments. With the takeover of Games Warehouse, the Gauselmann subsidiary is broadening its portfolio. Games Warehouse is renowned as a leading provider of pay-to-play video entertainment terminals in the UK and has in recent years earned a reputation above all in the online gaming segment. Based in Derby, the company develops and supplies a continuously growing portfolio of entertainment products for the British market and beyond. In its development team, Games Warehouse has a team of over 20 working in the areas of software, graphics, mathematical and statistical development as well as quality assurance.
“Games Warehouse has established itself in the market as a successful and impulse-generating developer of online and mobile games. The acquisition is an enormous gain for Blueprint Gaming,” explains Blueprint Gaming Managing Director Matt Cole. “Going forward, the Games Warehouse team will provide valuable support for creating new iGaming titles.”
