Both Bandai Namco and Tenpin management teams have shown extreme professionalism in the execution of the changeover of the gaming contract since the beginning of October 2014.
Incredibly, 2,700 machines had to be moved in just 10 days when Bandai Namco took over the contract for Tenpin’s sites and month on month, improvements in income levels, alongside operational innovations have achieved increased efficiency across the board.
The successful installation of machines in Doncaster was completed at the beginning of December and is showing benefits already.
By January, the Embed machine monitoring system was installed, which is a great tool and a benefit to site managers. The January EAG machine show visit also identified new gaming machines that the Bandai Namco and Tenpin teams are in the process of placing.
In February, redemption was installed into the Colchester, Stafford, Exeter and Leamington Spa sites to increase revenues.
Analysis of income by category and by site continually identifies machine moves or replacements to optimise performance across the board.
Meanwhile, March will see the changeover of supply of redemption tickets to Bandai Namco as well as specific Bandai Namco branded products being stocked for redemption prizes.
“We have seen excellent service and machine quality from the team at Bandai Namco,” says Graham Blackwell, Commercial Director at Tenpin. “Over 75% of our equipment is now brand new and downtime has been reduced by 50%. We carried out full after site training and this has resulted in a reduction in call outs. Site management have now taken ownership of their machine arcades.”
Bandai Namco has actually carried out a restructure to align with Tenpin’s requirements going forward. “We have held 121 meetings at all levels with the Tenpin team and provided the best dedicated engineers to ensure the best possible start to this contract,” says Chris Bell, General Manager of Bandai Namco Services, “We are really pleased to see that the hard work from both teams has led to reduced downtime and call outs resulting in excellent financial growth for Tenpin.”
