BANDAI NAMCO Amusement Europe (BNAE) presented a range of exciting new products at this year’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida which proved a great hit with operators. Below are some of this year’s highlights in games and prizes!

Game Highlights

The first new game that proved a smash hit at IAAPA 2019 was Red Zone Rush, which lets users take charge of an NFL licensed player (under the NFLPA license) to try to push dozens of miniature footballs into the endzone. Any ball in the endzone is a win, but players can also try to push specially-lettered balls to spell “TOUCHDOWN” for a Super Bonus. To add even more excitement to this four-player game, there are also CARD balls that, if pushed to the endzone, immediately reward players with an NFL player card that can be collected for ticket bonuses or traded in.

Another hit at this year’s IAAPA was BNAE’s new take on their extremely popular PAC-MAN Pixel Bash cabinet, which offers 31 classic games. The popular cabinet is now available as a cocktail (table top) machine as well as a charity cabinet, which offers operators the chance to give the games income to charity, alongside the cabinet’s supplier, BNAE.

The highly anticipated new offering from Raw Thrills & Play Mechanix didn’t disappoint at IAAPA 2019, where they unveiled Nitro Trucks. This adrenaline-fuelled game let’s players drive one of 14 souped-up racing trucks around six action-packed tracks across the world. Players can drive upgraded trucks by winning races and scoring extra credit, as well as grabbing nitro boosters around the track to leave their competitors in the dust. What really sets the game apart is the eye-catching cabinet which puts players in the driver’s seat with a roll cage, 5.1 surround-sound, force-feedback steering wheel, lighting, and a player-facing camera.

Keeping the pedal to the metal, IAAPA 2019 also allowed operators to get behind the steering wheel of the action-packed new title from Adrenaline Amusements, Hot Wheels. The high-octane racing game gives players six iconic cars to race around three exciting tracks. Each race lasts 60 seconds and allows up to six players to face off against each other — and more players means more tickets, with the winner taking the biggest haul of all!

IAAPA 2019 also saw Jurassic World Island Escape from Andamiro make its debut to much excitement. This two-person redemption game puts players in the heart of the action, where they must take control of a 4×4 on a sliding mechanism, using skill to land it on the “BIG WIN” target and escape from the dino-infested island! With bold artwork, RGB LED lighting and exciting gameplay, it’s no surprise this eye-catching cabinet was such a hit!

Prize Highlight

With the 40th anniversary of PACMAN on the horizon, BNAE’s retail-quality shiny PACMAN plush was always going to make a splash at this year’s IAAPA, and it didn’t disappoint, proving extremely popular among all those who visited the BNAE stands. But it wasn’t the only plush prize that had attendees excited, with BNAE’s Minecraft plush range, which offers players their favourite in-game characters in plush form, also proving a hit!

Another prize offering that had attendees excited at IAAPA 2019 was BNAE’s new PACMAN NFC speaker with light and wireless charger. This practical and attractive prize gives one of gaming’s most iconic characters a modern-day twist, and looks to be the most popular gift if 2020.

Management Solutions

As part of their display at this year’s IAAPA, BANDAI NAMCO Management Solutions exhibited the latest from Embed, the world leader of cashless business management, including the first-to-market Mobile Wallet for the arcade industry.

They displayed a virtual game card that can be added to the Apple Wallet (on the IOS platform) and Google Pay (on the Android platform) and used to seamlessly play games. It has the same functionality as a game card but sits in the guest’s mobile wallet, enabling them to tap and reload without leaving the game. The new virtual card should boost return visits and allow operators to gain insight into customer behaviour, usage and spend habits.
