Ralf Markmann assumes responsibility for the international games system business of the family company

Espelkamp. After more than 20 years in management positions within the Gauselmann Group, Mr. Thomas Niehenke will be ending his activities at Gauselmann AG on 31st May 2014 to fulfil his long-held wish for self-employment.

Thomas Niehenke played a leading role in expanding the arcade chain ‘CASINO MERKUR-SPIELOTHEK’ before focusing as COO with the same commitment on internationally marketing Gauselmann games systems.

“We thank Mr. Niehenke for his dedication to the company. He contributed to the fact that the recognition of our brand, the laughing Merkur sun, has increased both nationally and internationally”, says Paul Gauselmann on behalf of the entrepreneurial family, “and we are pleased that Mr. Niehenke will in future be implementing his experience as advisor on behalf of our company”.

Mr. Ralf Markmann will be the spokesman of the management board of Merkur Gaming GmbH for the marketing of Gauselmann games systems and so ensures continuity in the important global business of the Gauselmann Group. “Since Mr. Niehenke revealed his future aspirations to us we began searching for an experienced manager for the international arena so as to promote our global business with renown dominance from the base of our German home market”, states Paul Gauselmann.

“We are sure of having gained an experienced specialist and top manager in Ralf Markmann to sustainably promote the further and systematic expansion of the international business, being a manager with decades of international experience in a variety of industries, the last being as member of the board for four years of the local company of Siemens PLC in South Africa.
